AMITE -- Christopher Johnson was found guilty of second degree murder Thursday, Oct. 30, in the shooting death of an Independence Piggly Wiggly supermarket robbery in 2001. Johnson, 34, of Independence, will be sentenced by Judge Robert Morrison at 1 p.m. on Nov. 7. Second degree murder carries a mandatory life prison sentence.
