Former DA

LAFAYETTE – Services for former district attorney Nathan Stansbury are pending. He died April 14 at age 76.

He was DA for Lafayette, Acadia and Vermilion parishes, the 15th Judicial District, for 22 years before retiring because of health issues.

Survivors include a sister.

Fighter pilot vet of two wars

SHREVEPORT – Services will be Tuesday for aviator and decorated fighter pilot Robert Henderson. He died April 14 at age 91.

He was executive pilot for United Gas for more than 25 years. Prior to that he received the Distinguished Flying Cross as a Corsair pilot in World War II (39 battle missions). He was also a veteran of the Korean War and retired as a lieutenant colonel from the Marine Aviation Reserves.

Survivors include his wife Virginia, two sons and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Rose-Neath.
