The Next Mayor of Amite Should<br /><br />Be a Full Time Mayor " Be Like Mr. Fleet Easley "get out there and work and get dirty with your street dept. sewer and water dept. Mr. Fleet Easley would be right down in the middle of the work. Mr Fleet Easley also would be involved with the fire and police dept. Get along with the Police Chief , Fire Chief dont fight them on everything the do to make there departments better. We have the Best Police Dept and Fire Dept in Tangipahoa Parish l;ets make them Better. Get rid of Dead Head Positons and Dead Heads period. Have New Police Station with a jail in it and in full operationa asap. Find ways to help Hire more Police and Fire personnel. Find ways to give every police officer a take home unit. Find ways to increase Fire and Police Officers salaries. Repair all city streets and overlay them. Attrach New Business and Promote this town more than it is. Stop the corruption in City Council. Make New Laws to get the thugs off the streets . Stop buying used equipment for the street Dept. Buy new equipment that has warranties . Make all city employees accountable for there actions. HIre a Judge for City Court. Dont use city attorney for ur attorney and Judge for city court. Make all City employees wear a uniform and have Offical IDs on them while on the clock working for the city. All city vehicles should have proper markings and lighting on them. Except for Mayors vehicle City Police Chiefs Vehicle and Street Dept. Supervisors vehicle. Fix all street lights. Have a Community Input Meeting Once a month.
