This year WAFB has selected to broadcast their live Game Day event from Amite High on Friday, September 16, 2011.

WAFB's morning show ("9-NEWS THIS MORNING") would like to broadcast live from Amite High from around 5:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. the morning of Friday, September 16, 2011 for a school-wide ON AIR pep rally!!

The event will feature Weathercaster Diane Deaton, a photographer, a producer and our live equipment truck.

WAFB be doing live on-air "cut ins" several times between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. during the morning show. Each "cut in" will be about four minutes long. The crew will be off campus before the start of classes that day so as not to interfere with the actual school day.

It would be nice to have students, faculty members, mascot, cheer leaders, pep squads, dance teams, of course the marching band, school board members, alumni, players, coaches, etc. attend that morning.

The focus of the event will be kept spirit-driven and will avoid talking about any heavy or controversial "news" items that might be going on with the school, its members or the local School Board, etc. This is a pep rally!!
