Amite City, La. continues this week to transform to Amite City, Texas for the action thriller. Call it Hollywood South.
The outside of Irwin's business no longer appears to be a barber shop. Today it's a western-style feed and seed store selling brooms, garbage cans, and tack.
So, instead of giving haircuts this week he is selling feed and seed from a fake feed store for the movie, 2 Guns.
He has had to close his business because of his block of Central Avenue being cut off. No one was able to get to his business to get their hair cut.
When asked how he thought the movie has affected Amite and his business he said, "During the construction phase of the movie I picked up a lot of haircuts from people working on the movie from higher ups such as the set director and art director to off duty security guards. Also, I've noticed a lot more people here in Amite because of the movie and the new restaurant and I've noticed them looking at my barber shop."
So, he feels 2 Guns has affected his business and Amite in a negative way since he can't do business this week and positively because, it has brought more people and money to the businesses of Amite.
Bob Irwin's late father was the late Bill Irwin, one-time owner of Amite Tangi Talk.

I have been around all week and found everyone to be respectful to the crowds. Majority Rules when 90% of crowd sounded so positive!
My generation was raised, "If you don't have anything Good to Say, Don't Say Nothing at All."
