Tangi Schools, SLU closed till after Labor Day

Superintendent Mark Kolwe announced that all Tangipahoa Parish public schools will remain closed Thursday and Friday, August 30 - 31, 2012 due to Hurricane Isaac.

Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 after Labor Day.

Twelve month TPSS employees will be notified as to when they should report back to work.

The Tangipahoa Parish School System website (www.tangischools.org) and the School System Emergency and Weather Hotline (985-748-2450 or 1-877-432-1490) will have updated information as it becomes available.

Dr. John Crain, SLU President reports: There are no significant problems on campus.

International students and students unable to return home are being sheltered at the University Center.

Southeastern and it's satellite locations will remain close for class through Friday. The University anticipates returning to class on Tuesday, September 4th following the Labor Day holiday.
