I Gail Pittman-McDaniel, am announcing my candidacy for District B School Board Member of Tangipahoa Parish. I am seeking your support and vote in the October 2, 2010 election.

My objective as representative of District B is to utilize my past experiences as an educator, parent and active civic member of our community and parish in which to accomplish our educational goals. I believe excellence in education for our students in Tangipahoa Parish can be obtained by a cooperative effort of our school system, parental involvement and community support.

The success in District B schools of Chesbrough and Spring Creek Elementary, Sumner Middle, Junior and High Schools and all schools in our parish will continue to show positive gains from our combined, dedicated efforts in the future as they have in our past. I would be honored to serve as representative of District B and be a contributing factor in this process.

I am married to Larry M. McDaniel who has also exhibited strong support of our school system in past years and will continue to do so in the future. Our family is pleased to have past graduates of Sumner HIgh School, present students of elementary and high schools, and faculty members in our District B schools.
