All good things come to an end
All good things must come to an end, they say. After serving as Managing Editor for the Tangilena Media news group for four years, my time has come to an end. It is with much contemplation that I made this decision. When one reaches the pinnacle of any career, they feel a broad sense of accomplishment. Collectively as a team, the Amite Tangi Digest won Newspaper of the Year last year, and with that, I can say that I have reached the summit.
After many long discussions with my family, I feel that I am much-needed on the homefront. My family is everything to me, and when I can’t give 100 percent to something such as my job, then it is time to take a step back and reevaluate what is important to me.
Although I am leaving the newspaper, I have no doubt that our new Publisher Carol Brooke, who recently returned to the newspaper, and the Tangilena Media staff will continue to bring you an award-winning publication. Carol’s years of experience will guide the newspapers into new avenues, as well as continue to provide you, our readers, with the content that you all have come to expect with our publications.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the news publications of Tangilena Media. I have made many new friends, and rekindled old friendships as well. Although I may be leaving the newspaper, this does not mean I am leaving Amite; therefore, if anyone sees me or has a news tip, please let me know and I will certainly pass it along to Carol and her group.
And lastly, I encourage all of our readers to subscribe to our news mediums if you do not already do so. The Amite Tangi Digest, the Kentwood News Ledger and the St. Helena Echo are all award-winning publications that strive to bring the public, not only community-oriented news, but ground-breaking news as well. Subscribe today, and begin your journey with Tangilena Media Group!
And with that, I say goodbye...
