Students may be back in school, but Tangipahoa Parish Government has had a busy summer that is not slowing down anytime soon.
Sara Patrick: Several members of Tangipahoa Parish Government recently attended the Governor’s Kickoff Louisiana Resilient Recovery-Watershed Study meeting. What was the team able to learn?
Robby Miller: They were showing us what the state and FEMA had worked on together about studying each of the watersheds that were most affected by the floods. The watersheds are usually broken up by the major river name and the tributaries they lead into. It was a statewide kickoff, but it really focused on that Acadiana region, their watershed, and how they’re all working together to pool their funds that’s about to come in. It gave us a good idea of what the governor’s looking for. He wants to have programs, which are very good.
