Responsibility of Liberty

"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty as an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another." Galatians 5:13

July 4th, 1776. A day when a group of men declared themselves and their countrymen in America to be Independent, no longer under the rule of Great Britain. In the writing of the Declaration of Independence is arguably the most pivotal and essential sentence influencing the founding and shaping of the United States of America. "We hold these truths to be selfevident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." This statement contains such power and promise, but not without establishing the necessity of responsibility. Freedom isn't free, and it certainly is not without responsibility.
