St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Michael “Jamie” Morris, Jr. is a graduate of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Reserve Academy.
The Sixth Ward Volunteer Fire Department took delivery of their second firetruck from Deep South Fire Trucks, Inc. The newest truck is a rescue/service truck.

Over 50 children were treated to fresh haircuts by Miraj Hair Salon and received school supplies provided by Dr. Zenovia Crier. The salon opened at 6 a.m. and finished up at 6 p.m.
