Amite dancers will perform in The Nutcracker production
Hammond Ballet’s annual production of The Nutcracker will include thirteen local dancers this year. Hammond Ballet is not a dance studio but a community dance company that auditions dancers from all dance studios. The cast of 100 dancers are from Livingston, Tangipahoa and St. Tammany Parishes.
Mia Usey from Mandeville will dance the role of Clara. Professional dancers Andrea de Faria and Daniel Benavides from Orlando Ballet will dance the roles of Sugar Plum and The Nutcracker. Other major roles will be danced by Bella Chelette as Ballerina Doll and Candy Cane, Christopher Landreneau as Soldier Doll and Marzipan, Aubree Lavergne as Snow Queen, Dew Drop and Arabian, Eva Delatte and Vibriyogn Epuri as Chinese, and Annabelle Mack as Marzipan.
