Hood Memorial Hospital to offer free screenings during health fair
Getting a cancer screening is not something people like to think about, but is still important to do. While people may not like the thought, a cancer screening can mean the difference between life and death. However, setting up a screening can be time consuming and expensive.
On Friday, April 28, Hood Memorial Hospital will hold their fourth annual Community Health Fair. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of HMH’s Rural Health Clinic on 409 Northwest Central Avenue, the hospital will be partnering with other local physicians to provide free, potentially life-saving screenings to the public. These screening will include mammography, colorectal, skin and oral cancer screenings.
