Kevin Edward Husser
Kevin Edward Husser, a resident of Husser passed away on Sunday morning, July 1, in his sleep on his big rig. He was born January 29, 1964 in Amite. Kevin is survived by his wife, Susan Curtiss Husser; sons, Kevin Leon Husser and Joseph Calmes; daughter, Kathy Hooper and husband, Jacob; stepdaughters, Sharyl Teague and husband, Billy, Amanda White and husband, John “Tony”; five grandchildren, Nya Hooper, Max and Madison Teague, and Wesley and Elijah White; sister, Myra Sharpe; brothers, Ronnie and Clifton Husser; sisters-in-law, Linda and Evelyn Husser; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Kathleen Calmes Husser, Jr.; and a brother, David Wayne Husser. Kevin was a 35 year lifetime member of Husser Volunteer Fire Department and drove almost 30 years for J. B. Hunt. He was a 2,000,000 mile safe driver. Visitation was held at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Husser, at 12:00 Noon on Friday.
