Wolves defeat Albany for district title
Loranger (6-4, 4-0) earned the title of District 7-3A Champion after downing rival Albany (8-2, 2-2) 24-9 in a home victory last Friday. Despite once owning a four-game losing streak, Loranger has finished the regular season with five straight wins.
In an eight minute opening drive, Albany running back Justin Parrish finished a touchdown scoring drive that gave the Hornets an early 7-0 lead following Orlando Pineda’s PAT with 4:44 left in the first. After forcing a Loranger punt, Albany was poised to go up two scores early as they approached the Wolves 45 on their next drive. However, Hornet quarterback Jackson Fazio lost the ball in a forced fumble that would be recovered by Truman Faust to turn possession over to the Wolves.
